At Columbia River Institute of Massage Therapy, we believe that massage therapy is both a science and an art- a profound way to serve others, improve lives, and connect with humanity. Our program is designed around this belief and dedicated to advancing the massage therapy profession by preparing future therapists with exceptional skills, deep understanding, and a true sense of purpose.
We don’t just train massage therapists, we cultivate professionals who embody compassion, integrity, and excellence. Our curriculum is rooted in evidence-informed practices, ensuring that every technique taught is grounded in the best available research and clinical knowledge. At the same time, we honor the artistic, intuitive aspects of massage: the elements of touch, presence, and connection that can’t be measured but are deeply felt. This balance of science and art reflects what we believe to be the leading and most effective model of massage therapy today.
We are intentionally small. We’ve chosen to create an environment where each student is seen, heard, and valued as an individual. Our instructors work closely with every student, seeking out the unique strengths and natural gifts each one brings to the table. We guide you to explore and deepen those strengths, helping you grow not just as a technician of massage, but as a whole practitioner- someone who touches lives in meaningful ways.
