CCFD5 began operations in October 2000. In addition to EMT training, the facility also conducts training in the areas of Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life support (ALS), continuing education, and occupational safety courses. Clark County Fire District 5, a legal public entity under Washington state laws, operates the Training Center by a three-member Board of Commissioners.
