Program description | The Introduction to Healthcare Apprenticeship Program (IHAP) has two sections. First is the health care career exploration and apprenticeship readiness program that increases the economic security of diverse high school graduates and GED recipients by helping them enter into jobs or postsecondary education in healthcare. It is a fast-paced three-week virtual healthcare foundations course that prepares individuals, especially those farthest from opportunity who had not previously considered healthcare careers, to become work ready and interested in healthcare occupations. The second section of IHAP (IHAP Phase 2) consists of a concentrated four-week state approved Nursing Assistant Certified (NA-C, also known as CNA) program and certification that has Career Connect Washington Career Launch endorsement. IHAP creates the opportunity for immediate employment in a quality fully benefited job, but more importantly unlocks career pathways in over a dozen healthcare professions. |
