| Program description | The criminal justice program is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills for entry level positions in the criminal justice field. The program also offers opportunities for current criminal justice employees to enhance their knowledge and skills. The certificate is designed for students who either have a previous degree or who wish to start more quickly in an entry level position. Students should be aware that there are special employment conditions in this career field that, depending on the agency, may include criminal background checks, lie detector tests, physical fitness, and psychological tests. |
